JERUSALEM — An Israeli border police officer who was filmed beating a Palestinian-American teen on the edges of a riot in East Jerusalem in July 2014 has been sentenced to 45 days of community service and a suspended jail term of four months, Israeli officials said.
State prosecutors had requested a seven-month jail time period for the beating, which prompted international outrage when a video recording of it arrived to mild.
