BEIJING — Authorities say a late-night time fire at a coal mine has killed 21 individuals and left 1 missing in the northeastern Chinese province of Heilongjiang.
The formal Xinhua News Agency said Saturday that the fire at the Xinghua mine in the city of Jixi was introduced below management and that 21 bodies have been recovered at the mine, owned by the Heilongjiang Longmay Mining Holding Group.
The provincial work basic safety administration verified the demise toll on Saturday.
A work security worker who only gave his household title of Xing says rescuers are browsing the missing particular person.
Xinhua says 38 miners had been functioning underground when an angle belt caught hearth on Friday evening and that 16 individuals ended up pulled out to safety.
