SACRAMENTO, Nov. 24 (UPI) — A propulsion system for a crew provider module for a spacecraft is to be created, produced, competent and developed by Aerojet Rocketdyne.
The company said the work arrives below a sub-deal from Boeing and continues the function performed for Boeing below earlier awards.
The Industrial Crew Transportation Ability, or CCtCap, sub-deal for the Crew Place Transportation-100 Starliner provider module propulsion program is worth almost $ two hundred million.
The capsule will just take astronauts to and from the Global Room Station.
According to the business, the Starliner propulsion program program will supply launch-abort functionality on the pad and during ascent. It will also give all propulsion needs in the course of a nominal flight, like for the duration of start-automobile separation, docking and undocking from the ISS, and through separation of the crew and support modules when the spacecraft commences to re-enter the Earth’s ambiance.
