LINKOPING, Sweden, Nov. 24 (UPI) — The Austrian army has purchased an undisclosed quantity of ammunition for Carl-Gustaf male-transportable weapon methods from Saab of Sweden.
Data on the financial benefit of the agreement was not provided but Saab said the 84mm ammunition would be sent for the duration of 2016-2017.
“The Carl-Gustaf is a planet-major weapon system which has regularly established by itself in the most demanding environments as a functional, powerful tool for the infantry soldier,” states Torbjörn Saxmo, head of Saab business unit Floor Combat.
The Carl-Gustaf technique is a recoilless rifle mainly for use from armor. It can be fired by 1 or two soldiers and has a firing charge of as a lot of as 6 rounds for every moment.
