The Indianapolis Colts on Thursday reacquired running back Daniel Herron off waivers and released running back Zurlon Tipton.
Herron was waived Wednesday by Buffalo after recording 11 carries, three receptions and four kickoff returns in four games with the Bills.
He played all 16 games (three starts) with Indianapolis last season and rushed for 351 yards and a touchdown on 78 carries before totaling 298 yards from scrimmage (170 rushing) while starting all three postseason games.
Herron was waived from the injured reserve list Sept. 11 and signed by Buffalo on Oct. 6.
Indianapolis signed Tipton to the practice squad Sept. 15 before being promoted to the active roster Oct. 1.
