KIDAL, Mali, Nov. 28 (UPI) — Two United Nations peacekeepers and a contractor had been killed Saturday in a mortar attack on the U.N. base in northern Mali.
Up to fourteen other people have been hurt in the assault soon after 5 bombs landed inside of the foundation. Two of the troopers who died have been from Guinea.
Olivier Salgado, spokesman for the UN peacekeeping mission in Mali (MINUSMA), mentioned no one particular has claimed responsibility.
The peacekeeping mission in Mali commenced in 2014 following France led a marketing campaign to drive extremists out of the spot. About a week back, gunmen stormed a lodge in Bamako, the country’s money, killing 19.
