NEW DELHI: Defence minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday said he has no programs of retiring quickly and that he will go back again to Goa only after ending the process offered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
His comment came following media reviews which quoted him as expressing that he is planning to retire as he will change 60 on December 13.
“My assertion has been misinterpreted and twisted. I did not make any this sort of statement on retirement,” he stated.
Parrikar, who has served as Goa main minister thrice, tweeted, “At the age of 60, usually men and women believe of retirement and possibly I would have also. But I experienced to get greater responsibilities at Centre & I assure you that I will appear back again only soon after ending the process I am presented”.
