‘I’m glad they weren’t alone’: Friends remember WA surfers and ‘life-long buddies’

Adam Coleman and Dean Lucas ended up adventurers who had buddies all in excess of the entire world.

They grew up together in the southern Perth suburb of Golden Bay and got their 1st flavor for travel when they moved to Broome in 2002, where they worked and lived at a nearby caravan park.

Mr Lucas only stayed for a short time before transferring back again to Perth, but Mr Coleman secured a landscaping occupation and remained in the Kimberley town for about 5 a long time.

“Adam just had that cheeky grin and it was a true blessing to have him there.

“Daily life gets severe but you would put that child in front of you and it just turned into exciting and laughter in seconds.”

One more pal, Kemal Osmanhodzic, was in Broome at the identical time.

The group of friends gave Mr Coleman the nickname ‘Punk’.

“I understood him as Punk for a good six months prior to I even knew his name was Adam,” Mr Osmanhodzic stated.

“He was a small punk, he’ll always be ‘young punk’.”

Mr Coleman ‘in love and ready to settle down’

Mr Osmanhodzic very last caught up with Mr Coleman on a excursion to Bali a year ago.

“I reckon [the vacation to Mexico] was his previous journey, he was prepared to settle down and you could tell he was in enjoy.”

“It offers me some form of gratification that they have been jointly,” Mr Raitt said.

“They ended up lifelong buddies.

“They would have comforted every single other in the worst second of their lives and now they are resting collectively as nicely.

“I am glad they weren’t on your own.”
