NEW DELHI: A higher-stage team sent by the Union health ministry to Tamil Nadu to assess the circumstance in the flood-ravaged State has located that there is no outbreak of any key ailments there.
The seven-member group, which reached the Point out on Sunday, was to carry out an evaluation of the well being circumstance there.
Officials stated below on Monday that there is no report of any outbreak of drinking water-borne or vector-borne ailments in the State at existing.
The 7-member crew will conduct quick health evaluation of the flood-strike locations and also recommend the Point out on community well being measures.
They achieved the State overall health secretary and other officers of the Tamil Nadu overall health section and held comprehensive deliberations on the flood scenario and public well being action that is necessary for prevention and control of communicable ailments, the officials stated.
The Central staff regrouped itself into 3 teams and is going to flood-impacted locations, like the overall health services.
The teams are accompanied by officers from the State health office and the Chennai Municipal Corporation.
