A driver has escaped serious damage soon after a hefty metallic beam fell off a truck, bounced then pierced his BMW X5 SUV’s windscreen in San Jose, California.
The driver was able to generate the motor vehicle to the shoulder of the street and no other vehicles have been involved, hearth crews stated.
The guy acquired a slight scratch to his right arm, firefighters said.
“Experienced the man or woman been a little a lot more to the appropriate, it would have impaled him,” San Jose Hearth spokesman Christopher Salcido instructed SF Gate.
“It appears like he not so significantly dodged a bullet, but dodged a big beam of steel.”
The San Jose Hearth Division tweeted a photograph of the accident urging drivers to keep a safe length from the vehicle in advance, and to “often be notify to your environment”.
