SRINAGAR: An extreme chilly wave swept the Kashmir Valley on Sunday as minimum temperatures dropped below the freezing position overnight. Leh city in Ladakh area recorded a bare minimum temperature of minus 12.1 levels Celsius.
“The least temperatures through the valley dropped underneath zero today (Sunday),” an official of the nearby temperature business office instructed IANS.
The minimum temperature was minus .8 in Srinagar town, minus 4.three in Pahalgam and minus nine.two in Gulmarg.
In Jammu area, minimal of 8.five degrees was recorded in Jammu, eight.5 degrees in Katra, two.five levels in Batote, .3 degree in Bhaderwah and 2.five levels in Banihal city.
“We are expecting a more fall in the evening temperatures across the condition throughout the subsequent a few to four times.
“Throughout this period of time, climate is expected to continue being dry. Very clear evening skies will result in more fall in minimal temperatures in Jammu and Kashmir,” the Achieved formal stated.
