FRANKFURT—Left-wing protesters in the japanese German city of Leipzig clashed with law enforcement on Saturday, leaving scores of officers hurt and almost two dozen demonstrators detained, police stated Sunday.
The clashes arrived as hundreds of still left-wing activists shown from a rally held by considerably-proper protesters in the town, police mentioned. Police employed drinking water cannons and tear fuel to disperse the rioters who threw stones at law enforcement, erected street blocks and burned containers.
In accordance to a law enforcement information release, 69 police officers have been wounded, 50 police vehicles ruined and 23 protesters detained. It didn’t say how numerous protesters have been injured.
