Swift Air Cargo claims ownership of ‘abandoned’ Boeing 747s

Air cargo organization Swift Air Cargo says it is the proprietor of the three Boeing 747s that have been sitting on the tarmac of the Kuala Lumpur Worldwide Airport and that they are not “abandoned”.

The Kuala Lumpur-based business launched a statement on Friday right after media studies stated Malaysian authorities were searching for the house owners of the 3 planes.

Officials put an advert in a nationwide newspaper inquiring the owners of the Boeing 747 jets — which have been sitting idle for far more than a 12 months — to get in touch.

“SWIFT Air Cargo is the operator and SWIFT very significantly has not neglected its 3 B747s parked at KLIA,” the firm assertion stated.

The organization stated the plane have been marketed in June 2015 and it had unique supporting documents to “demonstrate possession of the Boeing 747s, which ended up signed by the prior proprietor, then signed by SWIFT as the new operator”.

Airport authorities say there has been no response to initiatives manufactured to trace the owners of the planes, which have racked up expenses for landing and parking.

But SWIFT stated the company was regularly communicating with Malaysia Airports, with the last conference held in Oct 2015.

“Considering that then, SWIFT and MAHB have been speaking with letters and we ended up ready for nevertheless one more assembly to existing a lot more documentation and information as requested by MAHB (Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad), when alternatively MAHB announced to the planet that the operator of the a few B747s was lacking,” the assertion stated.
